Biography:

Deborah Maris Lader (Artist, Musician, Performer, Administrator) is the Founder/Director of the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative since 1989, and member of the touring indiefolk band, Sons of the Never Wrong. Deborah exhibits her prints, drawings, photography, and mixed media artwork internationally, and her work appears in many permanent collections. She was the recipient of the Mid America Print Council's “Outstanding Printmaker 2016” Award, and had a solo exhibitor at the MAPC Conference in October. She has Read more... received numerous other awards for her service to the artistic community. Her artwork has been featured in numerous books and publications. Recent exhibitions include work shown at the Chav Printmaking Gallery (Tehran, Iran), IL Fogilo - 74b Gallery (Milan, Italy), Sagene Kunstsmie (Oslo, Norway), Dan Addington Gallery (Chicago), Galerie La Hune-Brenner (Paris, France), The Kunstverket Galleri (Oslo, Norway), The NY Society of Etchers (NYC), Artist Project Toronto, Santa Cruz Art League (CA), Loyola University Art Museum (Chicago), the Chicago Cultural Center, the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, the NOVA Art Fair, New Leaf Editions (Vancouver) and the Boston Printmakers North American Print Biennial. Deborah also plays guitar, mandolin, and banjo and writes songs and sings with her band, which recently released their 8th CD on Waterbug Records.
