Andrea Frank’s artistic work addresses complexity and change in relation to questions of collective responsibility and sustainability. She has addressed related issues through a wide range of artistic media and engagement strategies. Solo exhibitions include Edward Thorp Gallery in NYC, the Kunsthalle Göppingen in Germany, Galleria Michela Rizzo in Venice, UNF Gallery of Art in Jacksonville, FL and the MIT Museum in Cambridge, MA. She is the recipient of grants and fellowships from organizations including the DAAD, Read more... the Vermont Studio Center, Arts MidHudson, the SUNY Network of Excellence, and the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes. Andrea Frank graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and then moved to New York City, where she earned her MFA from Parsons and participated in the Whitney Independent Study Program. She is an Associate Professor at the State University of New York at New Paltz, NY, US.
