Julianne Ricksecker was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and studied at the University of Pittsburgh, Université de Rouen, the University of New Mexico, and the San Diego Academy of Fine Arts. She has made etchings, monotypes, pastels and watercolors in her San Diego studio since 1978.
