Born in Montreal in 1956, Christiane Roy set up her workshop in Sutton, in the Eastern Townships, more than thirty years ago. A graduate from the University of Quebec in Montreal in 1978. From 1979 to 1981, she worked as an apprentice in Montauban, France, under the supervision of Marc Dautry, a great burinist. He taught her the secrets of burin engraving by encouraging her to copy great masters like Durër and Goltzius. For the past few years, she has been applying her burin engraving technique on plexiglass plates.
