April Katz makes prints that synthesize digital and traditional printmaking processes. Her current work combines geometry and nature with Muslim, Christian and Jewish iconography with a goal to convey the universal attempt to make sense of the world and to celebrate the contributions made by diverse cultures. Her prints have been exhibited extensively, most recently in the Yinchuan Art Museum in China and the Dubuque Museum of Art in the US. Morrill Professor April Katz organizes Iowa State University’s annual international postcard print exchange. She has presented papers for myriad conferences and served as president for the professional printmaking organization, SGC International from 2004 - 2006.
