1953: born in Bristol, UK. Educated at Oxford University (B.A.Hons Experimental Psychology & Philosophy) and the Ruskin School of Drawing & Fine Art in Oxford (Certificate in Fine Art). 1978: awarded the Ruskin Drawing Prize and started using the burin as my main tool for printmaking: burin on copper, wood and lino producing “the driven line” so-called because of the forward-pushing action of the burin into resistant material.
