Eli Content, born in Vevey (Switzerland) in 1943, where his parents were Jewish war refugees, lives in Amsterdam. His work has been exhibited extensively in the Netherlands and abroad, from the Stedelijk Museum (Municipal Museum) and Museum Fodor in Amsterdam to the Jewish Museum in New York (USA) and the Barbican Art Gallery in London (UK). His work is also on permanent view in that museum as well as in the nearby Portuguese Synagogue, one of the most impressive synagogues in the world.
