Malgorzata Oakes born and raised in Poland, graduated from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art & Design in Wrocław, Poland in 2001 with MFA in Printmaking. She is a PhD Candidate at the Academy of Art & Design in Wrocław, Poland with the concentration in Printmaking. Malgorzata currently resides in Hudson Valley, New York where she teaches as Assistant Professor at SUNY Orange and actively works with students as Professional Faculty and Adjunct Professor in the Printmaking Studio in SUNY New Paltz. Her latest Read more... artwork primarily specializes in experimental printmaking, layering various processes and alternating them with non-toxic techniques. She speaks about global concerns such as drastic changes of the global warming or slowly disappearing trees in local areas that she travels to or resides at. She alternates the use of paper in her printmaking processes with other reused, repurposed materials.
