Tuija Arina-Sundelin is a printmaking artist, visual artist and arts teacher from Finland. She was born in Helsinki, but lives and works in Vaasa, a small town on the western coast of Finland. In printmaking artwork, she uses both traditional and more modern non-toxic techniques. Alongside traditional etching/aquatint, she likes making multi-layered monotypes using rolling techniques. Arina-Sundelin has studied art at the Helsinki Free Art School in 1976-77, the School of Art and Design in 1979-82 and 2005-2007, and Read more...she has completed a Master of Arts degree from the School of Art and Design in 2007. In addition, she has completed several courses in printmaking art. Arina-Sundelin has had 14 private exhibitions and has participated in over 70 collaborative exhibitions in Finland and abroad. She has also taught printmaking and other art subjects at an adult education centre since 1985. Furthermore, Arina-Sundelin has been chairman of Vaasa Printmaking Artists Association from 1996 to 2008 and Chairman of Vaasa Society of Artists from 2011 to 2013.
