Born on 20th of Agust 1989 in Bytom, Poland. In 2013 he graduated Spanish Philology studies at Silesian University. In 2013 started Graphics Art studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Graduated with honors in 2018 with his diploma created in Intaglio Printing Studio of Professor Jan Szmatloch. He has presented his works on numerous national and international printmaking reviews in Poland, Germany, USA, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania or Croatia among others. He was awarded with several prizes and honorable mentions Read more..., such as: Gold Prize at 3rd Macau Printmaking Triennial in China (2019), Second Prize at The 10th Kochi International Triennial Exhibition of Prints in Japan (2018) and Third Prize at The XVIIIth German International Exhibithion of Graphic Art (2018). Koniuszy uses intaglio to depict derelict, empty places that seem to be forgotten, monolithic monuments of the city where he lives. He takes a classical and delicate approach in his reading of spaces, buildings, and the stories behind them. His work spurs viewer’s imagination and invites them to discover the spirit of the places.
