Malou da Cunha Bang (b. 1982) graduated from The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm in 2016. She works in graphics and film, and often uses her own filmic material as sketches for her prints. This is a way to create a narrative progress and at the same time, the transfer to the print media creates its own timeliness. The actions of the characters freeze, and the unpleasant, awkward or incomprehensible situations are stretched out in a permanent maintenance of a lived moment. She has exhibited in Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Uruguay and Yerevan. She has received grants from the Danish Arts Foundation, where she is also represented in their collection.
