Biography:

The belgian fiber artist Sandrine de Borman is working in Brussels and in artistic residences around the world (Australia, Canada, Italy, France...) specially in botanic gardens and beautiful natural places. She was studying sculpture, illustration in Madrid and Brussels (1990-98). She was working paperpulp (2000-2015) until she discovered and improved the tataki-zomé technic (2014), gleaning and hammering plants on textile, using only the vegetable essence for printing. This tecnic is used for her artwork Read more...research, an intersection between geography, poetry, botany and art, creating awareness about our surroundings and our paradoxal connection with environment. She is sharing during workshops around the world her personal approach and tecnic, with a lot of pleasure.
